Welcome to this project website, which details Redrow's proposals to redevelop the former cattle market site next to Stratford railway station. Redrow acquired the site in 2007 with the benefit of full planning permission. A revised scheme has since been prepared to deliver a more traditional scheme that better reflects Stratford-upon-Avon's local architecture, creating a gateway to the historic town.
The revised scheme will deliver a long-awaited bus/rail interchange for the town. However, the number of housing units for the site has been reduced - there will be fewer apartments and more family homes.
Redrow believes that consulting the community at an early stage is an important part of involving the local community in decision-making. We recognise that the scheme should aim to meet the aspirations of local people and visitors to the town.
A public exhibition was held on Thursday 11th March 2010 at the Stratford-upon-Avon Town Hall, Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon.
